Long Story
An AI memory journal for trips, and for life. Capture today. Remember always.
Most lives are badly documented. We take thousands of photos, and a photo rarely holds the memory — who was there, what happened just before, what someone said that made everyone laugh. Long Story is for the rest of it. You talk for twenty seconds, or drop in a handful of photos, and it does the remembering: the titles, the summaries, the people and the places, the day sorted into chapters.
It is an iPhone and iPad app. It works without an account, there is no feed, no followers and no ads, and nothing you capture is shared with anyone until you say so.

What it does
Talk, snap, or type
Press the microphone and say what happened. Ten seconds is useful, thirty is better. Your own words and your own voice are kept, not replaced. Photos carry their own date and place, so a camera-roll dump at the end of a trip still lands on the right days.
It organises itself
Every moment gets a title, a short summary, and the people and places in it. Days become chapters — morning at the mosque, lunch in the medina, Rick's Café in the evening. Collections and a written recap of your year build themselves as you go.
The itinerary, and the tickets
Paste a confirmation email, or forward one, and Long Story reads it into flights, trains, drives, hotels and reservations. The PDF stays attached as the actual ticket. Drives work out their own distance and time. If a trip has no plan yet, you can ask for one — tell it how full you like your days and what to avoid, and it drafts something to argue with.
Travelling as a group
Invite the people you are travelling with. Everyone adds their own moments, and the photos land in one shared story instead of scattering across texts, albums and six camera rolls. Our Trip shows what the group shared; My Trip is your complete story including what you kept to yourself. Any single line or moment can be kept private — a hotel you would rather not announce, a photo you are not ready to share.
Ask your memories
"Where was that restaurant we loved in Casablanca?" "Show me the photos with Mike." The answers come only from what you actually captured, with the moments behind them.
Relive it
Collections of people, places and themes. A written recap of your year. A printable book of any trip, with a foreword and your own words on every page.
Who it is for
People who travel and want to remember it properly: cruisers, road-trippers and Airstream owners, families, and groups of friends who want one shared record of a trip rather than six partial ones. It is also used as an everyday journal, which is what Life is for — dinner with friends, a good round of golf, a funny conversation, an ordinary good day. There is no daily obligation and no streak to keep.
Questions
What is Long Story?
An AI memory journal for iPhone and iPad. You capture moments by talking, photographing or typing, and it writes the titles and summaries, sorts each day into chapters, holds your travel itinerary and tickets, and turns a trip or a year into something you can read back.
Is it free?
Yes. There are no ads and nothing is sold.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works fully without one. You sign in only if you want your memories backed up or want to share a trip with other people.
Is it private?
Yes, by design. There is no feed and no followers. Moments are private unless you share them with a trip, and even inside a shared trip any individual item can be kept to yourself. Voice is transcribed on your device. Photos and audio never leave your phone except into your own private storage.
Can a group share one trip?
Yes. Invite anyone travelling with you and everyone contributes to the same story. Each person still has their own private layer, and nobody has to collect photos from everyone afterwards.
Does it handle flights and hotel bookings?
Yes. Paste or forward a confirmation and it reads it into itinerary lines — flights, trains, drives, stays and reservations — keeping the PDF attached as the ticket. It can also draft an itinerary for a trip that does not have one yet, and show you a ride to a line you are looking at.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad, on iOS 18 or later. There is no Android version.
How is it different from a photo album or a notes app?
A photo album stores pictures and a notes app stores text. Long Story keeps the memory around them — what happened, who was there, where you were — and assembles it into days, chapters, trips and years without you filing anything.
